Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. She was first known for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab where she co-starred with veteran actor Anil Koopor. Then, she starred alongside Aamir as part of Dil. As a young teenager in the middle class of Mumbai, she learned to dance. She ventured into acting as young and fought for a few years as the majority of her first film projects were unsuccessful. Eventually she became one the most famous actresses in Indian film. Following her wedding the actress took time off from acting prior to returning. Recently, she played a major performance on the film Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women across India. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. She was also honored with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. In addition, she is recognized for her charity work.
