Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. After moving to Oxfordshire at the age of five, Emma attended the Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor when she was six. For several years, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing dance, acting and singing. When she was ten, she had appeared and played the lead in various Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film adaption of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was found by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre teacher.
